PlayStation called on West Coast Customs to create a custom PS5 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. West Coast Customs is known for some unique projects customizing cars to their clients’ needs. Some may be outlandish, but are always practical and push customizing in the automotive sector.
The project must haves are to execute PlayStation 5 branding, the use of the PS5 console and other Sony products to create a PS5 gaming lounge on the go. WCC’s Muso Tjahjono created the design to do exactly that, without it looking too gamer gimmicky, but with a touch of luxury for gamers. The actual PlayStation 5 console inspires the core design.
PS5 Mercedes-Benz Exterior Design
The outer design of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter received a full custom treatment from the metal; work of the grill and rims to the satin white color chosen as the base for the paint. The outer details also include the signature blue hue of the Playstation, then the PS5 controller logos.
PS5 Mercedes-Benz Interior Design
Now for the interior, this is where WCC went all out with their creativity and craftmanship. The upholstery of the seats is decked out with blue icons of the buttons, including the acrylic ceiling of the van.
The base of the inside is white and blue, creating a more subtle look compared to other WCC projects. At the front of the van features a large TV screen framed by a silhouette of the console’s shape. It allows passengers to experience the latest PlayStation 5 exclusive video games.
I must say this custom was the epitome of luxury gaming and shows to the world that gamers can also have some style and elegance.
