What’s Up my fellow sneakerheads! Especially my Grade School Gang! As we near the release of the Air Jordan 1 Hi Og “UNC,” I just want my team to know, they will be dropping in GS sizes! Thank You, Nike! I will not be taking any Ls trying to cop them on footlocker. For those of you who are unaware, Nike would give their most popular release to companies like Foot Locker for grade school sizing which is blasphemous.

I have nothing against Foot Locker, but the app freezes way too much and the website isn’t any better. All Air Jordan 1s are highly sought after, no matter the size. This is why it always hurts my soul when they make the decision to not release them in GS on the SNKRS app. I’ve never taken any Ls in the SNKRS app unless the sneaker just didn’t release in my size. Anyway, let me move on to the sexy sneaker that I’m so hyped about.
The Air Jordan 1 Hi OG will be making another appearance with the “UNC” colorway this year. UNC stands for the University of North Carolina for those of you who don’t know. This is where MJ attended college and began his legacy. Earlier this year in February, we saw this colorway on the same sneaker style, but they were patent leather. This specific release was available in women’s sizes, and I was lucky enough to snag a pair. The pair that dropped in February were dubbed “Blue Chill.” Jordan Brand also dropped the Air Jordan 9 in the same color scheme and they were available in all sizes. The upcoming Air Jordan 1, will be released in Men and Grade School sizes.
In the Nike SNKRS app, the sneaker is dubbed the Air Jordan 1 Obsidian. The name comes from the colorway of the sneakers which are Sail/Obsidian-University Blue. The Air Jordan 1 Hi OG ‘UNC’ will be releasing on August 31st, 2019. Stack those chips and create that Nike account because these are a pair you don’t want to miss!
