If you’re like me with tons of predictions swirling in your head because of Nintendo announcing they are giving us a direct tomorrow then yup we are probably going insane.
Tomorrow, 14.9.2019 there will be a 40 minute Nintendo Direct starting at 3:00 PM PT/6:00 PM ET, which will feature information on Pokémon Sword and Shield, Luigi’s Mansion, and they mentioned Nintendo Switch games. Which makes me and many others say let the predictions began, and hope for the best that some revolving updates surface like Can we please get some developments on Metroid 4?
Metroid 4 was first announced during an E3 2017 Nintendo Direct, but that was it, just an announcement. It has been two years and no gameplay, not even a CGI trailer was released. In the three-year span news surfaced that Producer Kensuke Tanabe was not pleased in the direction of how Metroid Prime 4 was going and asked for Retro Studios to do a full take over on the project. The previous studio was never announced but it was rumored to be Bandai Namco. This then set the game completely back with development progression. Last month, VGC reported that half of the Metroid Prime 3 team is still at Retro Studios working on Metroid Prime 4.
It has been 10 years since a Metroid Prime title was released. The technology of video game development has greatly taken a leap and with a hybrid platform like the Nintendo Switch, many fans including myself are waiting for some dope gameplay to surface.
Remastered Metroid Prime Trilogy for Nintendo Switch Officially Announced?
Late last year there were rumors circulating around of a remastered Metroid Prime Trilogy was heading to the Nintendo Switch. It would be wise that this would be pushed more to keep us thirsty Metroid fans at bay with a glorious remaster to hold us over to an official Metroid Prime 4. Retro Studios is hiring still for the Metroid Prime 4 project, which leads me to think that they have put some time into working on this rumored remaster. The talent is definitely there as departed developers have worked on projects such as the remaster of Shadow of the Colossus and the Nathan Drake Collection. Both titles that we fine-tuned to today high fidelity
SNES Classic on Nintendo Switch
With NES Classic on the Nintendo Switch, controllers to go with it, all for being an online subscriber to relive some classic titles, it should be a total no brainer to now add SNES. The best gaming catalog in gaming history on the go! Now does that not sound dope? I am pretty sure the wining ” I am not paying 20 dollars a Year for Nintendo Online” would be jumping for joy. Nintendo is King of Nostalgia. Retro is ruling everything. I am just curious about how SNES Joy-Cons would look or maybe Nintendo would make their own official Snes wireless controller.
Any more Predictions Red?
Well, to be honest, I would love to see more Mature titles like Mad World and an exclusive fighting game like a return of Tatsunoko vs Capcom which as amazing. And if you know me Anime fighters are always welcomed. There have been talks on the newswire about a new Power Stone possibly coming to the Nintendo Switch. Power Stone’s producer Takeshi Tezuka spoke in an interview with The Guardian, he said.
“I still get messages from fans about the game. People tweet requests to me to make another Power Stone, which I’d love to do if I got the chance.”
