The NYC Black and Hispanic gaming initiative, Video Game Amateurs is celebrating its rebranding with a 12-hour special Live Variety Gaming Event May 17th, in partnership with Operation System NY to host on Twitch.TV. The event will go live on Twitch.tv/VideoGameAmateurs starting from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Video Game Amateurs started from a group of friends who loved Dragonball Fighterz and wanted to help each other host streams to now a full-on initiative to help fellow gamers from Brown and Black backgrounds as a safe haven to their events, and inclusion in the NYC streaming community.
The event will kick off with Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament, Esports Panel, Operation System NY Streamer Session, Talk Show, Streams, DJ Sets and more.
GEEK GAME TYTE is proud to announce its media partnership with Video Game Amateurs and will have its own Tamika “REDinFamy” as a panelist on VGA’s Esports Panel along with Gamer Tag Radio’s Co-Founder, Danny “Godfree” Pena, and Dynamik Focus Esports Team CEO, Aziza Brown from 3-4 pm.
