Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks Remaster or Sequel Coming?

Can We Get More Spinoff Titles?

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks Remaster or Sequel

Ed Boon Tweets a poll relating to Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks. Here we go again, with the Legend Ed Boon testing the waters of the Twitter gaming community.

The tweet shares a poll asking if Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks needs a Remaster or a Sequel. So far, typing at typing this up, the community is in favor of a remaster, rather than a sequel. I myself picked for a remaster, why? Well, because it would be great to see how it would live up to today’s graphics and stability.

What we really want for Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks – A REMAKE PLEASE!

Now to achieve this, you do not need to wait, as you can simply emulate it to run better and be upscaled. I would prefer a remake so we can enjoy some nuances that could not be achieved during the PS2/Xbox era. In addition, more to the story can be added, and a coop feature for online.

Can We Please Have More MK Spinoff Titles?

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks Remaster or Sequel

Hopefully, Ed Boon is seeing what the community wants from our beloved Mortal Kombat franchise, because it is more than just head to head Kombat. Mortal Kombat’s spin off titles were also epic.

RememberMortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, the side scrolling action beat’em up adventure game featuring Sub Zero as the protagonist. This started the whole spin off saga of a non fighter game, and was also a prequel to Mortal Kombat 4.

Then came Mortal Kombat Special Forces, which was also good in my opinion as a kid. Mortal Kombat Special Forces was a third person action adventure beat em up game, with Jax as the protagonist. As a MK fan, all thanks to my Mom, it was a must to beg for, seeing Jaxon the cover.

Are more Spin Offs Inbound?

Mortal Kombat Onslaught Mobile Game

NetherRealms Studios announced last year that another spin off was developed. The twist is that it will be a mobile game title, Mortal Kombat Onslaught. To add to the disappointment, Warner Bros mistakenly released the game early. About 10,000+ were able to get their hands on it before it was taken down from the apps stores. This pushed back the released date.

From the gameplay I have seen, I am not too enthused with the gameplay. It follows the wrath of Scorpion played out in a RPG style. So instead of mobile title in the MK franchise, please give us a remake of Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks with added features, because MK Onslaught will not hold us over until Mortal Kombat 12 is released.
