The whole franchise lives through a complete reboot of the original Japanese series and manga, Beast King GoLion and to the now  Netflix original called Legendary Defenders rather than the original TV series from the 1980s, Voltron: Defenders of the Universe. The story still follows the original line of five robotic lions to form the mighty galactic warrior, Voltron, which have returned after 10,000 year to protect the universe from the bad guys.  Season one premiered June 10th with 11 episodes to geek out and binge watch.
