The annual COD NEXT 2025 event delivered a major showcase for Black Ops 7, spotlighting new Multiplayer maps, fresh Zombies modes, Warzone updates, PC specs, and a full rundown of the game’s innovations ahead of its November 14 launch.
New Multiplayer Maps and Game Modes
Treyarch revealed six of Black Ops 7’s 18 launch maps, including Blackheart, Cortex, Forge, Exposure, Imprint, and Toshin. These three-lane, story-connected maps are playable in the Beta, joined by new and classic game modes. Overload, a debut mode, pushes squads into tense strategic fights. Skirmish mode takes the action bigger with 20v20 matches and vehicles.
Movement is faster and more versatile with the next-level Omnimovement system, wall jumping, and streamlined Tac Sprint offered as a Perk. Loadout customization, Hybrid Combat Specialties, and Overclocks deliver more tactical options than ever.
Customization, Prestige, and Social Progression
Classic Prestige returns alongside Weapon Prestige, offering deep cosmetic and loadout rewards. Players can now share Weapon Builds and codes with friends, making community customization seamless.
Sixteen new Mastery Camos are coming to Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone, and campaign. Plus, players can grind unique cosmetic challenges across all modes.
Zombies: Biggest Map and Wonder Weapons
The Zombies team pulled the curtain on Ashes of the Damned, the largest round-based map in Black Ops history. Survival maps return, plus new features like Wonder Weapons, perks, and Dead Ops Arcade 4’s wild co-op shooter mode. The Wonder Vehicle and lore-rich environments set a new tone for classic survival gameplay.
Warzone: New Map and Old Favorites
COD NEXT 2025 revealed the Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map, delivering rural locations, POIs, and updated Verdansk with new challenges. Game flow has been improved with faster movement, perk-based sprinting, and revamped attachments.
