Banjo Kazooie Pop Figure Out In The Wild

BANJO KAZOOIE

The Banjo Kazooie Pop Figure has been spotted in the wild at Gamestop, thanks to one of the popular Funko Pops Collector Collective, Las Vegas Funkoholics. Back in March, GameStop revealed the fan favorite Nintendo 64 duo as a Funko POP GameStop exclusive during their daily CollectFest drops. CollectFest offers discounted video games, collectibles, and accessories annually.

Las Vegas Funkoholics out in the wild finds

If you are from Gen Z or later gamer, Banjo-Kazooie was a popular video game franchise developed by Rare in 1998, first for the Nintendo 64 console. It followed the adventures of Banjo, a bear, and Kazooie, a red bird, as they rescue Banjo’s sister from the wicked witch Gruntilda. The game included exploration, puzzles, platforming, and action with unique mechanics from Banjo and Kazooie’s partnership.

Adding this classic game to Funko Pop Games, using the front cover as a design reference, brings it to life. The only issues I have with the design choice is that you cannot see Kazooie as much as on the front cover. In addition, Banjo’s hair detail could have been enhanced more.

Definitely consider playing Banjo-Kazooie during your retro gaming splurge this Spring/Summer if you haven’t tried it yet. Now that Microsoft owns the series, Game Pass members can play all the games or get the Rare Replay Collection. With the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass, you can play Banjo, and his red feathered friend Kazooie, on a Nintendo 64 emulator.
